Loctronix is developing a suite of development tools and software for embedding SCP into a variety of location based services and applications. These tools and software are targeted at manufacturers, solution providers, and service providers within the fixed and mobile wireless industry. Loctronix tools are intended to support development and testing efforts throughout the product lifecycle and are provided via annual subscription.
Customers and partners embedding SCP software components and technology can license runtime versions tailored for their specific market, configuration, and implementation models. SCP technologies are embodied primarily in software comprising:
- SCP Sensor SDK – compact digital signal processing (DSP) for SDR-based devices. Both C/C++ and VHDL accelerated versions.
- Location Server Software/SDK – back-end software provides calculation engines, almanac management, and communications functions to provide real-time network assistance.
- Development Tools – tools for designing, testing, and conducting performance analysis of SCP-based systems.
Loctronix Development Tools Suite
SCP sensor SDK and Location Server software will be provided with the Development Tools Subscription as part of a software development kit (SDK) comprising application programming interfaces (API), documentation, and examples instructing integration of the software.
To further aid rapid prototyping and out-of-the-box demonstration capability, an SCP Development Board and design documentation will be available for purchase. This hardware provides a fully-functional SDR-based implementation of an SCP sensor supporting both hardware accelerated and non-accelerated configurations. The board and design documents provide detailed examples on implementing SCP sensor technology.
SCP Development Board
As part of the development subscription, Loctronix will provide SCP Workbench, which provides powerful anayltics and test tools to aid in design, development, and testing of embedded SCP solutions. With a built-in real-time, programmable DSP engine and scripting environment, SCP Workbench tools and applications can be easily extended to support new devices, external integration, and user-interface. With native support for Loctronix DCI protocol, SCP workbench readily communicates with both SCP sensor components and Location Server providing real-time analytics.
